Spanish oil major Repsol YPF said on Thursday it had discovered oil off the coast of Sierra Leone, its first find in the west African nation, along with its Australian, American and British partners. The discovery was made in block SL 6/07 at the Venus-B1 exploration well in water depths of nearly 1,800 metres, the company said in a statement, adding it was testing the quality and quantity of the oil find.
