According to the National Institutes of Health, in Phase III trials, the treatment is "given to large groups of people to confirm its effectiveness, monitor side effects, compare it to commonly used treatments, and collect information that will allow the drug or treatment to be used safely."     Nabi Biopharmaceuticals said Thursday it sold its staph infection vaccine PentaStaph to British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline PLC in a deal worth as much as $46 million.
