Wayzata businessman Peter Lytle dies Jul 28, 2009
In 1992, Lytle founded , and a decade later the company made an offer to buy Minnetonka-based Fingerhut from Federated Department Stores Inc. Cincinnati-based Federated had planned to close Fingerhut eliminating about 6,000 jobs, including 4,700 in Minnesota if it couldn t find a buyer.
