Published: Sunday, July 26, 2009 6:37 PM EDT The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) granted a six-month extension to Entergy Corporation, owner of the FitzPatrick plant in Oswego County, in its pursuit of a spinoff company. The new company, Enexus Energy Corporation, will now have until Jan. 28, 2010, to complete the transaction, which still requires approval by the New York State Public Service Commission and the Vermont Public Service Board.
