As was C.H. Masland & Sons (where my Dad worked for over 30 years), CT&R was a great place to work. Like Mr. Warrell, it saddens me to see Carlisle Companies close the Carlisle CT&R plant. Many of the largest employers in Carlisle, when I was growing up in the 1950's and 1960's, such as the crystal plants, Masland's, AMP and now CT&r are closed or will be soon. I guess this is progress...but not...
